We can’t wait to welcome you to The Scented Garden Retreat. If this is your first visit to us, here’s some information you may find useful ahead of your treatment so you can arrive feeling as relaxed as possible.

Where can I park?

Old Port Square: We have free parking right outside – our postcode is CH1 4JP. Park in any of the spaces outside and pop in to get a parking permit to place on your dashboard before your treatment.

Northgate: There are several car parks nearby. The nearest and biggest is New Market Parking (CH1 2AR).

I need to cancel my appointment, what should I do?

We realise that unforeseen problems can occur but please let us know as early as possible if you need to rearrange your appointment by calling us on 01244 312700. If you don’t reschedule or cancel your appointment by 11am the day before your booking, you will be charged for 50% of your treatment. Cancellations on the day will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

What should I wear for my treatment?

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Our therapists will always ensure your comfort and modesty at all times.

Should I remove my make up before my appointment?

If you arrive for your appointment with make up on, that's absolutely fine. Our therapists will remove any make up as needed as part of your skincare service.

What if I fall asleep during my treatment?

This happens more than you’d think and it's not a problem at all. If you find yourself drifting off, we see it as a sign that you are feeling fully relaxed and needed this time for yourself. Our therapists will continue your treatment, and we hope you will wake up feeling rested and refreshed.

Can I bring my children?

Unfortunately, we ask that you do not bring your children into the salon when you visit us for a treatment. This is because of restrictions under our insurance. Please contact us on 01244 312700 as early as possible if childcare becomes an issue for your upcoming appointment.

Can I have my treatment if I’m pregnant?

If you are or could be pregnant, please let us know in advance. We can tailor your treatment as needed but we only advise offering treatments once you are over 16 weeks.

We have some wonderful, relaxing treatments for expectant mums including pregnancy massage and our Mum to Be package.

Can I use my mobile phone or tablet during my visit?

We want to encourage complete relaxation while you’re with us, so for the benefit of you and our other clients, we’d politely ask that you switch off your mobile and any other devices so that you can switch off too.
